Terms of use

By using poultryledger.pk or the Poultry Ledger app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use them.

“We”, “us” and “ByteOrb” mean ByteOrb Technologies (Private) Limited, incorporated under the Companies Act, 2017 of Pakistan and registered with the SECP, with its registered office in Islamabad, Pakistan.

Poultry Ledger is a Windows app for keeping a poultry farm’s records: the daily round, flocks, feed and stock, sales, expenses, buyer and supplier khata, challans and reports. It saves records on your PC and works without internet.

Some features are described on this website as “coming soon”. They are not part of the app until we release them.

We set up each farm ourselves and send an activation code that links one recording PC to your farm. The code is for your farm only; please do not share it or try to get around it.

Any price or paid plan for your farm is agreed with you separately, in writing or on WhatsApp.

If these terms are broken, we may pause our online services for your farm. Recording on your PC keeps working, and your records stay yours.

The records you enter belong to you. They are saved on your farm PC, and you are responsible for the PC: keeping it working, keeping it safe and keeping copies of anything important.

You are responsible for what you and your staff enter. Please check important figures, such as balances and flock profit, before you act on them.

How we handle information is explained in our Privacy policy.

The figures on this website are from one example farm. The calculators and weight charts give estimates for guidance.

Breed standards (Ross 308, Cobb 500) are the breeders’ published performance objectives, not a promise of what your flock will do. Ross 308 and Cobb 500 are trademarks of their owners.

Nothing in the app or on this website is veterinary, legal, tax or financial advice.

You agree not to:

• copy, resell or share the app or activation codes with other farms
• take the app apart, change it or remove its notices, except where the law allows
• try to get into our servers, other farms’ data or parts of the service you are not given
• interfere with the website or servers, or send harmful code or spam
• scrape the website with automated tools, except for search engine indexing

Breaking these rules may also be an offence under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) 2016.

The Poultry Ledger app, name and logo, and the content of this website belong to ByteOrb. Using the app gives you the right to use it for your farm; it does not give you ownership of the software.

The app and website link to services we do not run, such as WhatsApp. Their own terms and policies apply when you use them, and we are not responsible for them.

We work hard to keep Poultry Ledger correct and working, but the app and website are provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. We do not promise they will always be available or free of errors.

As far as the law allows, ByteOrb is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profit, lost birds or lost records, that come from using or not being able to use the app or website, wrong entries, or a broken or lost PC.

Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of PKR 10,000 or the amount you paid us for Poultry Ledger in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or anything else that cannot be limited under the laws of Pakistan.

We may update the app and these terms. We will post changes here with a new date, and for important changes we will tell farm owners directly. If you keep using Poultry Ledger after a change, you accept the new terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, including the Contract Act, 1872. The courts of Islamabad have exclusive jurisdiction.

Before going to court, both sides agree to try to settle a dispute in good faith for 30 days from written notice. If that fails, either side may go to the courts of Islamabad or, if both agree in writing, to arbitration under the Arbitration Act, 1940.

If a court finds any part of these terms invalid, that part is limited as little as needed and the rest stays in force.
